Hi all, firstly thanks for such a great forum. I've trawled through here many times as a non-member looking for turbo/supercharger info and have found some great info.
I'm building a supercharged Reliant 850 for my '72 Bond Bug at the moment and will be using an HIF44 in a draw through setup due to a lack of space in the engine bay.
Is it is of any interest I could post pics of the build?
Here's progress so far, thanks again you helped without knowing up to now as I'm sure many more have lurked and benefited but not posted.
Regards, Steve.

Very interesting. You clearly have no interest in steering!! Maybe a system that allows individual braking on each rear wheel and a hole in the floor to look through should be included as your front wheel will nevr touch the ground!

More pictures would be great.

Very interesting.....

When I was a lot younger one of my mates ha a Reliant three wheeler (can't remember which model) which was embarrasingly quick compared to my Mini - in a straight line.

IIRC the engines are all alloy and only 750cc but made more BHP than a standard 850cc Mini of that era.

What do you reckon it will weigh when complete ???

Early engines were 750, later are 850cc. At age 17 my best mate had a Reliant Kitten, I had a Mini Clubman Estate 1098cc. My Mini would piss on him both on the straights and the corners!

At 17 I could only afford the 850, it wasn't until a couple of years later that I put a 1275 in.... By then my mate had rolled his Reliant - no harm to him and surprisingly little damage to the shell, he patched it up with fibreglass and filler and sold it - and he went for two wheels instead. But in a straight line his 750 Reliant would out-accellerate a standard 850 Mini. But obviously he allways lost in corners.

Thanks all, I've attatched a couple of pics of the Bug, I've only had it a few months. I'd like to get it finished mechanicaly and run it for a bit then respray the body properly as it's not great.
