Right... a few small updates... the rear subframe is on! Feels like a massive leap forward.

Really happy with the finish on the subframe, ended up cosing £50 from a place called Fast Line in Preston.

Got the rear subframe fitted up with all the radius arms and suspension last week...

And (one of my favourite litte mods) there is no space for the speedo cable due to the weber box and also when all the gearing and final drive is selected/changed the speedo will be way out so as per some kit cars I am using a digital bike speedo. I measured the face of the digital speedo and had some aluminium printed black and then laser cut so that it would fit inside a small smiths dial.

Then this weekend I finally got a proper look at it after 2ish years and got it on its wheels yesterday. Really happy with how its looking but Ive run out of money so things may slow up for a bit now:

A few little updates. I've now finished the brake lines and started to remove the engine from the blue mini ready for a refresh and dropping it in the grey one. I'm currently saving up for a gearbox as that is gonna take a huge part of budget it may take some time!

I've now split the gearbox from the engine. I am planning on using an Sw10 camshaft and getting a local engine builder to check it over.

Any advice on what I should ask him to do in terms of checking over the engine? Its a 1380 and its done about 5k miles since it was built. I'll get him to fit a new oil pump but wondered what else would be advisable for an engine refresh?

While things are slowing down a bit I am doing the stuff I don't ahve to spend any money on, like grille fitting etc.
