Morning chaps,

Just got home from the ring last night, I took the mini out there, and my Dad drove my A3 1.8T daily out there in convoy with a bunch of guys from tmf.

Sadly Mini was suffering terribly from vibration issues on the crank sensor, my VR sensor seems to be shorter than most, and with my Tom fenton bracket its sitting 4mm away from teh trigger and loosing signal above about 5k, as a result I only got 1 lap done, with it cutting out at 5k in every gear, and mananged a 10:03.

So, I took the A3 out instead!
Managed an 8:58 with almost no traffic

Fastest and final lap of the week done on Monday night, had to slow down through a very fast section for a yellow flag, and an english clio that dropped into the Karousel then appeared to just about stop, I had to hammer the brakes on half way round!

How did you get the camera in?

If something is worth doing, it's worth doing half of.

it's filmed on an Iphone 4 :)

had the phone in a windscreen mount on the side of the dash, went through the gates and turned it through 90 degrees and started filming.

Simples!

Good effort.

You will have the shorter sensor from a CVH Escort. You need the sensor from a crossflow Fiesta or Escort which you will find is longer and suits the bracket properly.

Ah, thanks for that Tom!

I did look at trying to tap it in to close teh gap a tad, but after 1 or 2 taps with a hammer i realised it wasn't the solution, and i didn't want to risk snapping it off leaving me stranded!
