Mitsi Evo 7, 911, Cossie. & all the chavs ...... won no problem

if its a three leg type ? T

the two outer legs ends get coupled between the actuator,

inbetween the turbo pressure side pipe, to the actuator, the middle one goes to Atmosphere hope this helps

i also include a flow regulator as well but that
another story.

yeah its a T type, ive got it plugged in to the pipe that comes out the actuator, and then the bit that comes straight out the other side of the valve is blocked, and the bottom of it bleeds out the air.

is this ok or does it need to be put in between the turbo and actuator???

ok il explain as clear as i can so you can see what im getting at.

if you look down at the actuator, youve got a pipe going into it,then you have a pipe coming out of it. now the pipe that comes out used to go to the bleed solinoid i think,i have unblocked it,and put the bleed valve on that, and blocked the other side of the valve,so there is only one outlet venting, which is the bottom one of the T shaped bleed valve.

so this is wrong???? if so what do i do with the pipe that comes out of the actuator, block it???

cheers

well dan,

i have ragged all that out of my motor.
so i assumed you have, sill me

this sound right ish, to me give it a whirl buddy

just watch the gauge for over boost

DONT BLOCK THE ACTUATOR OFF!

will it work any different???? is it better to do it the other (between turbo and actuator???

if the way i have done it is ok,
am i supposed to block the other side of the valve like i have done,or leave 2 to vent???

just another way of doing it

also, would there be any possibility that turning the boost up frm 5 to 7psi make it slower?

as it doesnt seem to pull as well as it did at 5psi, standard engine

Dan.
The general consensus is to leave well alone,*wink* this saves MPG,
Make sure its not split and in good order.

with the looks of your set up dan its standard: right?

if so 8psi no problems but iam sure everone would not advise going over this without some mods*happy*

Erratic running on tick over,
would go even leaner on idle

This pipe saves money MPG on cruise conditions

dan i noticed in the pic
the suction hose for the turbo looks substantial
where did you get it from
and is it the right dia for the turbo housing ?
thanks

put in line with the actuator means its not as sensitive. i.e you turn it further to get the same result. no big deal really.

am i reading dan's wrong or is it cause im on the wrong side of a few beers.....

1275 dan states: 1 connection to his actuator, 1 connection blocked off and one connection open to atmosphere?

Think about it guys.....

Dan you need the bleed valve to be inbetween the actuator and the turbocharger,

The actuator works by sensing what boost the compressor is running at, so pressurised air has to go into it and move a diaphram - which in turn will move the arm to open and close the waste gate.

If you have a leek or a controlled leek in this line (bleed valve) the turbo will produce say 7psi, presurised air will fill the line, some will bleed out of the bleed valve so at the other end the actuator recieves only say 6psi.

So it goes TURBO-----Bleed Valve------Actuator

And the third one is left Open to atmosphere

So pressurised air flows from the turbo into the bleed valve, some is lost to atmosphere and then the actuator receives its share and alters the wastegate acordingly

yeah thats what is confusing me, my current setup is how you stated above eg actuator to bleed valve, one blocked one bleeds to atmosphere.

BUT if the way i have it at the mo is wrong, then how comes it still adjusts the boost when turning it????
