Whats everyone paying lately for 1275 engines with or without ancillaries?

Been looking for a suitable motor to rebuild into a turbo lump, but the prices are all over the shop.

Cheers.

I think youve answred your own question, i supose it depends how desparate you are, a 1275 can do anything from 100 to 600
some buy bits, i would rather buy a complete motor without ancillaries then everything in that motor eg, rods crank casings are from that rather than gathering loads of separate bits.

duno if that helps

The problem you have ther is that knowing the engines as some of us do if you buy a complete motor whats to say the crank is any good and by that I mean the tapper. Can be a mine field as I have recently found out. :(

The last engine I bought was a very late carb engine. It didn't have the carb with it but had most of the other bits still attached, that was £115. I have a spare 1275 which I don't need at the moment but I'm keeping it as the prices seem to be getting a bit silly in the last year or two.

Be nice to turn back the times. Used to be able to get whole metros for £60.

I just seen one go on ebay last week for £250!! it was a 4 door mayfair so nothing jazzy about it.

I gave Nick £150 for a 1275 he had going, I swear I was done, was rough as arseholes.

I bought a complete running 1275 Metro with test that wasn't in "bad" nick for £40 in 2001. My cousin used to regularly do the same. He must contributed heavily towards Paul S's mission to scrap all Metro's. *hehe!*

If something is worth doing, it's worth doing half of.
