70.65 are std pistons I'd guess. Where did you measure?

its a machine for making wimmins toys, for relaxation..
the 'ladies snail'is a 'member' of a new line based on garden vegetables ,eg 'the cumber ','the courgette' ,and for the difficult to please , 'the marrow!' .(which is actually trade marked with the exclamation mark).
for the beginning enthusiast ,there are the other garden related objects , 'the snail' ,'the slug' ,'the mouse' ,and for the absolute beginner ,'the earthworm'..
if your taste runs to the abusive , im sure thier 'rat!' range will satisfy (and maybe slightly scar).

nice to see chris is using his creativity in an area where it wil be fully appreciated .

Lol those crazy guys at ikea.

Vegard I measure the diameter across the crown, I measure a standard 1275 piston I just removed from my engine and it came in at just under 70mm.
I have no idea what they are or where they came from, when I bought them I was told they were 1293 pistons. Does anyone have any idea what they are?

I belive standard 1275 pistons are 70.66mm so i would presure they are for a standard bore.

So when some joey comes on here about how his 16v turbo vauxhall is great compared to ours, he can be given the 'bird'...

A standard piston is smaller than 70.62mm, so if the piston is bigger than 70.62, its an over size. If they are really onld, they could be +0.010, but more likely to be +0.020.

The crown is the wrong place to measure a piston. You need to measure the piston at the base of the skirt at 90 degrees to the piston pin.

Hi Bill, the pistons are for 1293 and i would say they are not turbo pistons (as they have a relatively small crown height)
