i know that the timing cover will need to be modified in means of removing the breather but does it not need to have a breather as wouldnt the pressure blow the timing cover seals all the time?

why do you want to remove the breather?

the only modding you would need to do to a cover is modify it on the INSIDE for dual timing chains. if your breather is hitting the fan then all you have to do is try and crush it a bit?

be careful with that mr joshua, as the fan spins it flexies slightly, i managed to wreck 2 radiators and destroy 2 fans after contact with the breather pipe.

how about chop it off and block up the hole, then run a hose from a more convenient point on the cover to a catch tank?

Innos had the breather on the backside of the front plate (where it overhangs the block on the rear of the engine) *wink*

You can loose the canister and just fit a filter/catch tank as long as you are not feeding back to the carb.

well i just had the timing cover off to see what i can do about it as the sc belt will not be able to pass the charger,

i cut the canister off and left a stump which is about a inch in diameter could not really put a pipe on the end of this as the huge diameter etc.

so what are my options?

blank it completely and what will happen?

put a take off underneath the waterpump and put a small air filter there?

Not if you have adequate breathing elsewhere on the engine.

If something is worth doing, it's worth doing half of.

That looks like it would be a PITA with a turbo.
