I know the post is a year old, but what about converting weber side draft for turbo blow through use?

Not very sunny swanage

Quick question on this, 3-4-5 which need to be blocked. Are people still doing this (im assuming so)? If so, how? im thinking that the best way would be to drill and tap the carb for grub screws fitted with a little blob of locktite unless anyone has a better way??

And on the 7th day........... God created turbochargers!

Short piece of hose and a bung in the open end of the hose?

This is what i did when i orginally screwed the car together, but as im about to rebuild the carb (following the excellent thread up there ^^ ) i kind of thought it might be worth doing something a bit more permanent while its all in pieces and I can clean the swarf out nice and easily etc. Obviously this might have been useful information for me to have put in my last post....... lol....

Chaps... In the diagram above, no.4, anti-run-on valve connection... it says to block off or it won't run on boost.
However, on my set up, I have a rubber hose that runs from there round to the turbo (the tee-piece with the other end going to the actuator)... this was done by Neil when I took it to the rolling road.

Now, I'm wondering if maybe I put this back on the wrong pipe when I had the manifold and carb off since, after reading the above post?

Is that a correct setup?

I hope my problem is as easy as that to fix... it would make sense as it was fine on the rolling road.. and it seems my problem is when coming on boost..

You're ok. Yes it says to block it, but I guess it should have said to block it or use for tee-piece trick (same for # 7)...

So does that act the same as taking a 'tee' out of the pipe normally used for the tee piece trick (plenum to regulator)?

So in essence... I have the 'tee piece trick' set up on mine as I described above?

the "tee piece trick" is to bypass the internal airways on the turbo carb ( or non existent airways on an n/a carb) and to link the float bowl to the plenum

linking the float bowl to the actuator aswell would still work however personally i would not, i like to give no reason for the fueling to be upset
any failure in the pipe from float bowl or actuator will result in a lean mixture
