I've got a set of twin Su 1.25 carbs on a super alloy inlet manifold and was wondering if anyone knows who made it. The carbs have landar trumpets on them. Will load up photos of it tonight.

Hi Wintersurf, I recon the carbs are just the standard Su's you would find on any cooper 998, but the trumpets are a mod upgrade tuning product made by a company called landar, just like Les Leston and others were producing back in the 60's & 70's. I'm looking for a set of trumpets for my works replica mini I am building and I want something a bit different, I have found a landar rocker cover, so do you still have this set of carbs and trumpets, and do you want to sell them still? It would be great to have a rocker cover and trumpets. Thanks. I'm not sure about the inlet manifold at all to be honest, not something I have come across before. |

Manifold probably by Super Accessories, went out of business in the 1980s. Geoff |

The carbs are not right to be fitted from the factory. Twin carbs always were handed, i.e. float bowl on opposite sides.

the design shows a distinct lack of imagination, talk about starting off with a clean sheet of paper, then not bothering to fucking draw on it,lol On 20th Apr, 2012 Paul S said:
I'm mainly concerned about swirl in the runners caused by the tangential entry. |
