Well as some of you no ive been havin loads of probs with my back , then hurnia in march , younger bro accident in feb etc.

Been off work the last few weeks in agony with my back , thank god for pain killers, (ive just been spaced out the last few weeks)
Ive slipped two disc's????, yes painfull.

Went for pre op last week and was going again monday for some reason, then having opp in oct some time.
Got a call yesterday saying can i come in monday dinner and they will do the opp this tuesday, glad its sooner rather than later just shitting myself as usuall.

Wish me look, ive been told i might be home on the wed tea time.

Please no negative comments!!

Just make sure that after the op your tackle isnt on display to the whole ward like mine was after my op while I was still a bit spaced out

Like many others I had back trouble (burst disc) and, rather than an op I have suffered on and off for 20 years.

You are doing the right thing - good luck mate

You'll be fine buddy, a good mate of mine had a burst disc and went for an op earlier this year, he had the operation on the Wednesday morning, I went to see him in hospital on Friday evening visiting time expecting him to be flat on his back, found him sitting up in bed, and he was able to very carefully stand up on his own two feet. Over that weekend they gradually had him gently walking about the ward and he was home not long after. After such major surgery I have to say I was amazed, but it just goes to show they really know what they are doing.
6 months or so later and he says it is the best thing he has ever had done, from constant pain to it being gone. If you like I can ask him if he minds you ringing him to chat about it to set your mind at ease and ask question, I am sure he would be happy to talk to you about it.

You'll be fine Rick, if you need cheering up in the form of a good old piss take when your sat at home well come round and rip into you for an evening ,lol

just remember don't be afraid to take any apin killers sthey give you
