hello i after a new loom and i got a quote from autosparks for a loom for mini clubman with metro turbo engine in it. this is what they came back with

"the harness set quoted is suitable for a 1972/75 Mini Clubman, with alternator modified to suit pre-engage starter"

would this be correct????

also what is the best dizzy for a metro T engine????

unless the loom in your car needs replacing dude there's no point at all, all it needs is 2 wires to the dizzy i think (mine was on elec ignition as standard before i turbo'd it) have a look for zeemax's post about no spark and its covered about 20 times in there how to wire in the dizzy.

The best dizzy for mutro turbo engine is a mutro turbo one, simple as. the advance curves on other dizzys aint right for it.

Nick.

i wish my friend that that was the only problem....the loom i have at the moment has been totally bodged together by the bloke i brought it off.....might mean something to him but his wiring was a mess and i got connectors that have the wrong conectors on them to conect to the conector that its meant to conect to.....*happy* lol, how many time i say conectors.

best start afresh that way least i know whats what...*happy*

fair enough dude, i'd try ebay first though. campfreddies usually have wiring looms for sale and cheap too. i had to replace mine a while ago after it melted. luckily my mate had a spare which i got for a tenner off him...bargain
