thought i would open another thread as this question would not be relavant to the one i had open before about getting the car started and running

i have a 40 weber feeding a eaton 45 on a standard 1275 engine with a lowered CC and standard pullies running 8 psi and a 8.5 CR i will be upgrading to the smaller pully for the optimial 12psi in the future

so my question is what fuel pump and pressure reg do i need

i would like to use one of these due to the inline gauge but i know the fuel doesnt have to be a rasing rate due to my set up being suck through (but it looks like it has a take off that would usually got to the plenum to increase fuel psi)

http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/Fuel-Pressure-Regula...=item58899b11f8

as for fuel pumps what should i be looking for i know i dont need a red top pump but would a solid facet be ok? giving 2.5-3.5 psi or shall i go for me?

i think with suck through ( as you describe) a regular non turbo pump is adequate such as the facet,
personally i would use the metro turbo method, but have it reference atmosphere so it doesnt rise the pressure

Yes i moved to the darkside *happy*

I will be using an SPi tank and pump for my suck through supercharger setup.

I will be using a metro regulator as Brett discribes, but you could use a filter king or similar.

I disagree Brett, you just need a low pressure pump with a basic pressure regulator and no return pipe.

As I don't know exactly what is required I'd phone up spomeone like Demon Tweeks or Rally Design and say I want a fuel pump and pressure regulator for my 40 dcoe webber, what do you recommend?

I agree with Will but I dont think any form of regulation is required, the pump from a 2ltr carbureted Montego (pierburg) will be more than adequate.
