plexiglass windows

i have bought plastics for perfomance windows recently and was wondering if anyone has some experience with them

to keep the weight down on the doors i want to leave out the window mechanism and install the plexi windows with slider mech

But how do i go about on mounting these correctly
do i screw them into the door frame or glue them into the seal or both...

There was an article in mini mag a while back on this. I believe they used some of the excess window seal from inside the door and made some little brackets that you rivet to the inner skin.

Edit: should have said that the window then sits in these and they hold it up.

I plan on doing something along those lines with mine anyway.
