Australia oi oi oi!

Can you use spacers for the rocker assembly

Because the valve spring caps appear to rub on the rockers I have.

they are 1.3 full Roller Rockers.

How will this make a differance? Isn't this problem caused by long valve stems? or massively recessed valves?

Mine have evidence that they do this.

If a lot of material's been taken off the head the pushrods will
protrude more out the top upsetting the geometry.

Yes, but it won't affect how close to the valve cap the gets to the body of the rocker. This is fixed even if you skim the head back to the valve face, surely.

Or am I being thick?

I didn't read the post properly either, but normally when spacers are needed, this is because the push rods are too long, or if valve stems protrude because of sinking in valves etc.

1st class example is the bodge of fitting 1300 valves in 295/202 heads.

Australia oi oi oi!

ok doubt it has been skimmed.

it is a lovely turbo phill head.

so what should i do, they look close that they could touch or are touching.

i was doing it with my mechanic he said it is so close it's a 50-50 it could drop a valve???

my normal bog standard rocker assembly i think fits fine.

can i use some sort of spacers or shims or anything???

what about this---> http://www.minisport.com.au/prod1916.htm

thanks for help lads :)

No, that won't help one blind bit. What you need is rocker pedestal shims.

I had to use rocker pedestal shims when I was running 1.5 rockers.

I run a supercharger and I don't care the TB is on the wrong side.
