pretty sure its 3/16 as I just looked at me flaring tool and it goes straight through the 1/4 hole but fits nice and tight in the 3/16 hole

old tread i know but was looking for brake size. found the tube size but what screw niples should i order ( i used all the one's i had on the previous mini and never looked at what they wore.)

edit: should i use classic copper pipe or the modern cunifer (copper nickel mix) for the tube's?

you can do anything if you set your mind to it...

You mean the brake unions like this?

http://minispares.com/product/Classic/Brak...k%20to%20search

Usually they are 3/8 UNF, brake limiter fitted from the 1980 on uses M10x1. In some older master cylinders (yellow band) they used something bigger for one of the sections, but I can't tell now whtehr it was metric or not.

Depends what exact brake components your using. Minis used a mix of 3/8unf and M10x1 fittings over their life span so either check what you need or get a box of both.

Be careful too! its easy to screw the wrong threads together.

I would always prefer kunifer, but copper is easier bent and worked with, especially if your flaring tool is less than great

speed didn't kill me, but taxation probably will

Okey. I know what ill use for clutch but still need to deside what brake pump (had to remove the servo so need to go rugular...)
The tool isn't that bad i have to press them by hand but it works very well.
