Just ripped out all the old steel fuel lines and am about to replace with 8mm copper microbore.

It's possible so long as you use a good quality microbore tube bender and run it with the subframe off. I've done mine 8mm (flow) and 10mm (return) copper microbore but without the proper bender it just kinks on the tight curves. Also make sure you use brand new microbore - copper work hardens very easily so never re-use old stuff. Schrödinger's cat - so which one am I ??? |

If you know how to solder copper pipe ie for house fittings you can do the same for your fuel lines. Save bending, just cut to length and use ninety degree fittings job done. send GinoR32 a PM as I saw him do this to his car. Own the day

I cut mine at the end of the floor and ran rubber hoses from there.

the design shows a distinct lack of imagination, talk about starting off with a clean sheet of paper, then not bothering to fucking draw on it,lol On 20th Apr, 2012 Paul S said:
I'm mainly concerned about swirl in the runners caused by the tangential entry. |

thanks, for the advice think I will cut it at the subframe and join it with flexible pipes as you say. Just dont fancy dropping the subframe. Plus I have 10m of the stuff so can have plenty of practice! |
