I too have some 'A' rods, as well as loads of A+ rods.

It all depends what you are really looking for *wink*

So when some joey comes on here about how his 16v turbo vauxhall is great compared to ours, he can be given the 'bird'...

Poorly worded there. Most certainly a pre a+ block, but a+ rods would probably be preferable.

Unfortunately my last a+ (1380) block i sold, the only current one i have is unserviceable. being 73.5mm bore and slaughtering a ring. Now denoted for mocking up purposes.

Shame really.

A gt or an allegro block is what i really require. An s block is somewhat out of my budget.

I think I have an 11 stud Austin 1300 GT engine in bits in the back of the garage.

And maybe a freshly .020 bored 1300GT 11 stud block, but minus bearing caps which I know you can buy green castings and have line bored to match the block.

Interested ?

Richard.

Interested

PM me Sam with what you are exactly after.

I'll get back to you better if you PM me as I'm a bit remote at the mo.

Sam.

Defo have an Austin 1300GT 11 stud block, c/w main caps.

As I took the engine out of the car it came from and stripped it for storage, I have all the other engine parts if you're interested, including the cam, rods, pistons, head, twin 1.25 SU's etc.

Pics attached below, sorry they're a bit grainy, it was a bit dark at the back of the garage.

If you want the lot, just ask.

Have sent you a reply to the PM you sent me.

Richard.

I bet my first wank came quicker than your first mini turbo

These new modern turbos with their quick spool up time, would make the competition harder.

Thanks for the offer Rubes but I'm downsizing. The GT I broke in the '80's was a G Reg 1969 job, amazing car. However, I'm not looking for another !

Hopefully Sam will take the engine I have as it's a good one - I think they were based on thick flange S blocks but without tappet chest covers, not sure. The engine number on the block I have for Sam is 12H/298F/32998. Maybe someone else can advise.
