hey lads.

just gauging i'm coming very close to setting up my sc12 running 7psi with a 266 cam.

I also have a fully worked Turbo Phill head. (sexY)

Med light flywheel etc.

now I read superchargers take power to make power?

I understand being suck through, I wont pip as much.

Do you think i will make 80atw? it's a 1293 1.3 roller rockers.

i wanted a tame cam so i would still have some road manners & have some good poke for everyday mini..

anyone running a 266 with 7psi maybe even a turbo with no intercooler? what that be the same?

I reckon it will make near 100 @ fly so 80atw should be about right.

If something is worth doing, it's worth doing half of.

thanks John.

i know a standard set up bolted on a few have all come in around 80.

then again im not sure what cam they run.

i think standard cam standard head.

would the head be worth 10more?

or is that more a breathing thing putting the power out better?

Im not after HUGe power either I would love 90atw that would be insane & pretty reliable with mega jolt?

Have you looked at VMAX Cams? He does a 264 and a 274 (from memory). I have the 274 for my SC12 setup.

They are designed specifically for our application, so probably be better than a mild/medium n/a cam.

A good head and cam combo is what makes the a series engine.

yep im with you, what did he reckon a 274 would do?

mines a touch more then a 266 tiny tiny bit more hair.. but same deal really.

I had it ground up. pretty tame for road.

great for every day.

Just checked his site, it's 265 and 275. Mine is the 275. Not sure on power until I build it. I'm going to run 12psi and hoping for 120-130 banans at the flywheel.

depends on which engine (998 or 1275), after being messed about by Vmax I just got a 266 and stuck it in, the most the car has made is 78ATW on my 998.

Talk to Ben about cams he will be able to advise what he has used. If I did it again I would chuck a 276 in and see what happens however with my valve sizes touching the block might be an issue with any higher lift than the 266 provides.

I run a supercharger and I don't care the TB is on the wrong side.
VEMS + 12 PSI + Liquid Intercooler = Small Bore FUN!

how have you found the 266 cam?

i would get just close to 90 I would think.

the advantage you have is running a bike carb & that gave you 10 hp more?

No the carb gave the same phils work on the head gave the extra. With the larger motor I would try a 276 if you can't get an sc specific cam. You could try graham russel ?

I run a supercharger and I don't care the TB is on the wrong side.

So maybe phils head and cam combo will make high 80-90
