it all started when i looked into supercharging my mini,
i went out and bought the manifolds off a seller who makes them on ebay. (£250 quid for inlet and charger manifold) after a few months of waiting for them to arrive i never recieved them, so i opened a dispute which i then had the seller saying that he was going to send my details onto the police as he thought i was trying to scam him.

I then went to my local machinist and had some custom ones made up, I informed the seller about this and wanted a refund he didnt like this and said that he was going to be calling the police about this and updating there cases on this whole ordeal. As i was going to uni the following monday i couldnt have this on my mind so i had to close the case (because of the backwards and forwards and sorting flat and all that out)

I then left for uni and i come back after a week or so, to the parcel in a battered condition, but i took the manifolds out the box and they was in good condition i went about seeing how they fitted (after telling the seller they arrived and that would he mind if i compared the manifolds and if it was ok to send them back, find out if they was worth getting another set or having a full refund) he said yes etc and that it was all fine, it then come to the time to get them sent back and he said yes about the whole deal (weber set for hif44 set) he has started to ignore me and i cannot open a dispute as i opened one for them not being recieved

i was after fitting the ebay kit onto my round nose mini but this kit brings the carb very high out of the bonnet and before purchasing the kit the seller told me that i could just have the back of the bonnet propped up and wouldnt have to cut the bonnet. this is not true as when in the drivers seat you can see the carb about 3-4inchs from the rubber at the base of the screen. which means a massive hole even the bonnet will not fit with just the charger in place!

Ive just had an issue as well on ebay

Bought a "refurbished" throttle body that looked great in the photos like new even, got it today and its sprayed silver over the crap and he has tried to clean up the inside with sandpaper leaving filings stuck to everything, opened up a dispute today hopefully it will sort out fine or its a trip to wales to brick his windows

editted it now, sorry was watching full metal jacket, just need to vent really and i dont know what to do either sell it or get a hif44 manifold made up but i have already spent close to 900 pound and you can get a vmax kit for a bit more!

Ah I saw his manifolds on ebay the other day, are they the ones which come coated black?

This is my understanding

Unless hes stipulated in his listing or through private messages that he has a lead time. Hes in breach of the distance selling act.

Also unless he has stated on the listing or in personal messages that in case of a return you will pay the postage or in fact have to post them back at all. You don`t, but in order to get a payPal refund, you will need to.

You have to look after them for 21 days from the point of refund, also to be able to make them available for collection. So after this date it doesn't matter if they get "Lost".

Do bear in mind that he has 30 days from the cancellation date i guess it would be to give you your refund.

Phone PayPal see what they say. But ultimately, given you've paid with a card for a product. Get onto your back, have the payment re credited

i have now managed to get get his telephone number through ebay and i will have to ring later, see sending them back it will be out of good faith that he is understanding and sends me another set or gives me a full refund as its not going through ebay

Use your brain....On the phone, it is not documented. You cant use it as evidence. Details here have still been left out. Personally i think the story you've given is a little one sided and you've omitted details. But as you've said, it was a rant.

I hope this issue is resolved.

i got in contact with him this morning after a phone chat he seemed happy to say he will send me all his details via ebay (see i did think of keeping it all documented) lol, i am now waiting for an email to confirm his address and postage procedure, all the details i gave above is all i could give, the date that he posted the items where alot after i paid for the item. i have proof of this,

if ever you talk on the phone you can record it easily, lots of phones have apps to record calls :)

see isnt that illegal? lol and would i would be in the wrong for recording without permission and if i asked for permission he might then not like that i asked

no recording call is not illegal you just cant use it as evidence unless you tell the other party that the call is being recorded

still no reply since this morning so i will have to badger again later on today as i really need it sent through ebay,

after i have sold my 45 weber thats it for me and ebay get better service on here

recieved his address now and its almost 300 miles away from the location that ebay has on file for him and the address is the same as the organiser of the riveria run........ wonder whats going on there, i dont trust what is going on here so thats all i am going to do with this situation as its not going to get anywhere,

except sent to a wrong address then i either got to arrange a courier to go and get it and the likeyly ness of getting it back is nil!

i have now found out that a member
from another forum has fitted these manifolds and recently removed due to a fuel leak, to discover that all of the paint from the inside of the manifolds has dissappeared into the charger and into his engine!

Go to your bank. Get the payment reversed.

i know paint right and petrol! best mixture what damage would that do to the engine? as it cant do it any good

have done that and they said that they cannot do anything due to the case etc

as most of you know i had alot of items on ebay recently even one set of wheels 12",

the cheek of most of the people just trying to get money off once they have recieved the item even one guy who one a keyboard said it took four days to arrive so he wants some money back!

the wheels i sent through dhl arrived with the winner today and on the advert it mentions comes with 4 tyres with road legal tread! i am now being accussed of selling him a dangerous item due to 3 wheels being yokos and one being another brand! he says they are illegal to put on his car and wants 60 pound off to buy another tyre!

he won them for 76 pound!!

Tell him to piss off, it's not illigal.

that sounds like a good idea

but ebay being ebay he will open a dispute and say he has posted them back to me and he wont have no proof of this but he will get all of his money refund to him!
