Someone started me thinking in a post on minifinity - so...

Has anyone actually seen an A+ rocker break? I know I used to use them without regard with a 286 cam and double springs in my mis-spent yoof... And never broke one!
Vizard clearly didn't like them, and had allways told us to swap them out...

So, who's broken one???

I've broken loads.

However, it turned out that the springs were binding. Changed the springs and never broke another. This was in my youth, I know better now.

Never seen them brake, but then I've never used them that much as they are always very worn at the tips.

Mine gets in the way a bit, but only when it is up. If it is down it does not cause a problem.

between us we know a lot of mini people and i can`t think of anyone who broke one , other than as will says due to other factors .

Everyone knows that instructions only have to be read if the thing doesn't work....

Yes I would also agree, used to compete in class one autograss racing using sintered A+ rockers and never had a problem with one set that I used for 3 seasons.

Also have used them on road engines with 280lb valve springs and a 286 without any bother, only problem was it wore the guides out due to side loading the valves.

Mitsi Evo 7, 911, Cossie. & all the chavs ...... won no problem

given them loads of hammer none broke!

but i have seen a set on minispares 1:5 roller rockers fail

the needle rollers fragmented and wasted the shaft
it was a kent 286 SP CAM

these only did some 170 miles from new, the guy was gutted *frown*

he had to strip and flush the whole lump*frown*
