Sold the turbo and seeing what the C20XE can do!

Near Lincoln

http://www.minispares.com/web/Item/P22357%2D40/InvDetail.cfm

Just wondering whether to go +40 since the block ive got is in good nick but has already had a +20 rebore. I want things to be nice and fresh.

Or should i go with the omega pistons (not forged) but i believe these are only available in +20?

Is a +40 going to be reliable? If not then ill find a previously unbored block and go +20

your going to end up with a high CR thou... remember that for each rebore, you end up with a higher CR... those extra cc's of displacement have to go somewhere!

Other than that, 40 thou should be ok on a std ish turbo... which I assume ur going for with the std CR.

mmmmmmmmmm
explain that one to me please again
if you overbore your block your c/r goes up
mmmmmmmmmm
if your block face to piston height stays the same.
explain how the extra volume ( ok i know its a small amount ) makes your c/r go up???????????????????????
As for +40 bore
At 20 psi , 8/1 c/r and 5 years of abuse mine seems to run ok

Everyone knows that instructions only have to be read if the thing doesn't work....

My sister is so fit I won't show anyone her picture

Lake District

The bigger diameter the pistons, the greater the swept volume, meaning greater combustion chamber volume required for given compression ratio.
So say you had an engine and took it out to 1310 or whatever, and left everything else the same inc volume above the piston you would have a higher c/r so would have to run slightly lower boost.

Mine gets in the way a bit, but only when it is up. If it is down it does not cause a problem.

Is it A-Series only? I think it should be...
So when some joey comes on here about how his 16v turbo vauxhall is great compared to ours, he can be given the 'bird'...
