Well after using the car to do some light demolition work to a low wall in the beginning of the season, I was to lazy, scared, broke(choose any of the above) to sort it out.

At our annual Mini Show day in late August a friend of mine offered to pay for the parts needed to fix the car, if I could get it running for the last event of the season, The Krugersdorp Hillclimb.

So after much procrastination this is what the car looked like at 4:30 on Friday afternoon, the day before the hillclimb.

At about 10:30 we pushed it into the workshop to set the ride height and wheel alighment. Heres a vid, ala Robert stylee :

No test drive as it was dark and the car has no lights.

Got to the venue the next morning and drove the car for the first time on the recce run and it was flawless.

This is me heading for a 3rd in class and a gain of over 2 sec on my rivals.

All in all a great weekend.

3rd in class with only a few hours to prep is impressive, well done.
Just out of curiosity, do you not have brace bars on the front subframe?

Paul

I seriously doubt it!

Cheers Dave.

No brace bars, but the bottom legs of the frame have been strengthened, it has worked well for the last 4 seasons or so. But then again the car only does 20 kms a season.
