Australia oi oi oi!

The Standard ford plugs that come with the Edis are they resistor leads?

or should i get resistor plugs for my mega jolt? what type of plugs should i use.

I had to re mount my sensor on my bracket how close does it have to be.

I marked everything, I have tried to make sure it's as close as can be or the same to other sensor mounting.

lastly.

when I test my MJ unit can i still leave my dizzy in place? to make sure the MJ is working then pull the dizzy out???

Thanks. *happy*

i'm using custom made MSD leads and non-resistor plugs. no problems at all. don't know about the factory ones, but i think they are resistor ones.

i use 0.8 to 1.0 mm between triggerwheel and sensor

i kept the dizzy for 3 month, just to make sure. but it was never needed.

There is a general view that electronic driven ignition (ie, MegaJolt/EDIS/coilpack) needs resistive plugs or resistive leads simply to prevent high frequency noise (that would be present without resistive plugs or leads) from affecting the electronics. I'm doing all my testing with resistive leads and standard plugs, no problems so far.

My sensor gap (MegaSquirt but identical VR sensor) is also 0.8mm.

Leave the dizzy in until you're happy with the MJ (so you can quickly swap over if the MJ setup fails) but, when you do finally take it out, remember to withdraw and remove the drive shaft too.

Schrödinger's cat - so which one am I ???

how do you know if they are resisted? if i have BCR8ES plugs does the R stand for resistor/resisted?
