I must be mad, ive only justgot it back, but my turbo mini is for sale. Its complete now, and runs perfect, will have a fresh tune up running at 7psi when sold. Anyone on here will tell you how much work ive put into it. Its also tax free and very cheap insurance. Painted toyota supra red with yaris black roof, hilos all round, perspex windows, maniflow downpipe stainless exhaust, braided hoses, 4pot brakes with vented disks, custom redblack vinyl interior with hundreds of smiths dials including 120mph speedo, mk1 rear lights and grill in a mk3 rust free shell, dump valve with spare diaphrams, extra engine stabilisers. Engine runs perfect, has a new 8psi carb needle and is VERY quick. Ive always had it running at low boost but its getting retuned monday (im in ternerife until sunday). The tyres are all like brand new, and the rear subframe is about 6 months old. Everywhere is fully waxoyled and splattered with painted on old engine oil underneath. ....no im not mad, but i am buying lee?s metro (my old metro) which now has a huge turbo engine in it along with all sorts of bits like ready to fit intercooler. Going to kick all your asses in the metro at avonpark it needs a new gearbox fitting!!!

Avonpark is for mini's so you will be in class X, not class D with the mini turbo's. In class X there are lots of other cars, like 911 turbo's, scoobys ect,

you selling it to get fast metro! just buy the engine from metro and then swap and have mini with fast engine!

With the rest of the money im going to buy a 318i, an old school boxy shaped one as a daily driver.

First to see will buy it, im in Keighley, West Yorkshire. Last time i put it in magazine i had loads of offers asking price was 3500, i had to sell it on ebay in the end for 2600, i wanted that mi16 205 and also i set no reserve. Going to put it in magazine when i get back. It has loads of other bits and pieces like spax adjustable suspension all round, sparco gearknob cut down, moving subframes with retro cobra buckets. Its a nice car and hasnt not made it home yet, and ive done alot of miles. it also has new wheel bearings and ball joints and stuff like that, no expenses spared. Everywhere i go people come up to me, even in petrol stations, or going past schools eveyone looks, and then when the dump valve goes off...!

I will miss it, but i really want this metro back, its an awsome little thing and i will be able to have it as a second car. Can somone do direct links to the pics in the gallery here? cant do it in this internet cafe.

If somone wants a reliable turbo mini that needs nothing else doing to it, this is the one.

Well, you can say what you want about me i dont care, but going on the
a) ammount of money ive spent on it
b) everyone loves it
c) i got loads of offers when asking 3500 in the minimag last time - and now its better with new tyres, tune up, engine steadies etc...
d) a guy came into my work with a crappy bog standard cooper that he had just paid 5500 for
e) it will hold its value if kept in same condition

so i think i have a right to ask 4000 for it, thats waht i need for the metro and bmw, and im in no rush to get rid. Posting the minimag coupon off when i get home, so will be at least a month before its in there. I want the metro its a bigger spec, was a great car to drive.

There is another reason, things have changed and im defiantely off to uni this year, and will be dificult to have a project car as a main car, so i want to get a 318i as a main car, and the metro to play with on the weekends, i cant afford to have another car aswell as the mini - HOPE THIS IS A VALID REASON FOR YOU.

Oh yeah and turbodave its booked in this week when i get home at the bodyshop for the floorpan sorting, wont have any nasties like that when i sell it.

Also to mention, will be running it up the strip hopefully if i still have it at minis vs beetles so people can see it there! Will see how fast it goes on the strip!

I know you may have been joking but comments like that often require a sarcy answer, especially from folk like minimark, dave and myself. All avonpark top runners.

I can also recall a thread going back ages with going on about is MFP's, those bleed valve alternatives?

Sounded like you had done some kind of rolling road back to back test!!

My advice is don't sell your Mini, buy your 318i and use the mini for fun.

my mini will never be for sale as i would only regret it and see some pillock totally shag it.
