i am guessing there is going to be a lot of interest from europe

has anyone any experiance of shipping such a large/heavy item abroad?

i would be using parcelforce, with a signature.

i have no idea on costs etc. will get on parcelfore website, just wanted to know if anyone had first hand experience of this

many thanks

I just shipped a gearbox to Denmark. Use www.parcel2go.com.

Dead easy and not as expensive as you might think. The gearbox at 30KG cost about £15 and was delivered in 48 hours

The physical size of the interior might be an issue with the cheapy couriers.

Is it like a full interior, or bits ?

that was my concern. i have tired parcels to go and the size/weight is too great.

it would be x2 front seats and a rear bench.

parcelforce comes up with something like 400 quid to europe which is not helpful!

Just by a little economical with your measurements, they won't measure it when they pick it up.

Also, could you send it as two shipments? A front seat and a part of the rear bench in each. The front seat could be fully reclined and it shouldn't be too bad.

Sending as individual parts might be best option. Or else getting them onto a pallet and contacting pallet type people.

i did consider sending them individually.

pallet people is an idea. its a lot of hassle. though the buyer seem to be in europe at the moment. thanks for the input
