emerald ecu wiring rev counter

hi all, im running the emerald k6 ecu and i want to continue using my tim rev counter (asuming it will work ok with the ecu)
the ecu has a tacho signal ouput wire, my question is which wire do i connect this to on the rev counter i have a red wire and a green wire coming out the rev counter the red would be to the + on the coil and the green to the - on the coil which one do i connect the ecu wire to and what do i do with the other wire?
