I need to sperarte my turbo from the exhaust housing. This was only put on a few weeks ago, but I can't get it seperated now. I want to strip it down before I repair my manifold.

Id clamp the exhaust housing in a vice, leave compressor housing on, then tap the compressor housing with a dead blow nylon mallet, as squarely as you can, should come off. |

Had this problem many times, only way is brute force I find. Just be careful not to let it go on the piss or the turbine will hit the housing. |

Jimbo, try putting it in the oven for an hour, hot as you can get it, see if the turbine housing will grow on its diameter enough to pop off a bit easier.

I would recommend you have your tea before you do this, and preferably whilst the small one with the large boobies is not looking. After seeing JImbos dishwasher parts washer, do you honestly think this is an issue Tom? SHane |
