Hi i needhelp sorting my engine build. i was wondering if anyone has built one of these before. using a 1098 crank and sunbeam imp pistons. In vizards book it tells me to machine 150 thousandths off the top of the block that got me thinking if i use my 12g202 ported and enlarged to 12g295 chamber size can i machine a little less off the block to lower the compression and run a gt1752 turbo. so some questions is the gt1752 the right turbo? will the pistons hold up? with that many cc's will the 12g295 flow enough or should i pocket the block and go 12g2940. as far as power ouput that i would like to get anthing over 120 thanks for your help |

That seems like an awful lot of work to get a few extra CC. You can get the same amount of additional torque with a couple of pounds extra boost and a more reliable engine.

I agree, all that work, for something a little smaller than a 1275. Better to use a 1275, parts are more available and proven.

the design shows a distinct lack of imagination, talk about starting off with a clean sheet of paper, then not bothering to fucking draw on it,lol On 20th Apr, 2012 Paul S said:

Many on here have tried to reinvent the wheel and have seen the light and gone with what has been proven. A lot of unknowns in what you have presented by no means a bad idea just a path never taken go 1275 my friend. Own the day

I've built a turbo 1132 with OZ pistons. That'd be much simpler.

Mine gets in the way a bit, but only when it is up. If it is down it does not cause a problem. |
