Hi,

I've just been wondering, what is more reliable for Oil pressure? A smiths gauge or a Tim one?

Thanks

TIM gauges are cheap shit in my experience.

Hmmm, perhaps not...

If you want accuacy, then look to spend 50 quid on a gauge. Also, capilary will be more accurate than an electric (generally speaking).

Well, if we're choosing between smiths or TIM - I'd get a smiths capilary...

OR I'd save up a little more and get a racetech, or a SPA, or whatever... Take a look at Demon Tweeks to see how much prices vary. I also prefer 'full sweep' gauges - the ones that move the needle through 270degrees, rather than 75 degrees. These sem to be more accurate - certainly they have a higher resolution.
