Australia oi oi oi!

will a 6 cylinder angle sensor be the same as the 4 cylinder?

I have one but it won't fit my set up.

so i need to get a new one & all that is available in australia local are 6 cylinder cars.

all im after is a wire plug with some wire but can't track one down on ebay :(

Provided it is a VR sensor reading off a wheel with a similar number of teeth it will be fine.

If it is a Hall sensor, it won't be fine......

Some ECUs use hall switches, some use VR..... the only way to be reasonably sure is to get a 6 cylinder sensor off a 6 cylinder car that was fitted with EDIS for its ignition as EDIS uses a VR sensor.

The connector to the VR sensor should be a standard two pin "junior timer" plug, same as used on the majority of crankshaft sensors, fuel injectors, etc. but you should be running a shielded cable to the MJ, not just plain wires like fuel injectors use.

Schrödinger's cat - so which one am I ???

thanks Rod

the one i got from Sd minis is good.

but the sensor wont fit my set up as my air con bracket fouls.

i need the normal type sensor for it to all work with my set up.

found one via ebay Usa i might wait for that.

but will pop upto the ford wreckers near me to double check with them & what i have with me.

The Ford EDIS ones come in two lengths, maybe the shorter one (less common perhaps over there) will fit ???
