I have A 1275 engine prepared by C-Tech with a Garrett turbo and HIF carb. I cannot seem to get the mixture right. I am using a BDD needle and the engine will bog then backfire then die. No problem restarting but cannot accelerate...same thing happens again. I have tried adjusting the mixture but I really don't know what I am doing. Can anyone assist me? |

Sounds like the fuel pressure is not rising with boost.

Have you blocked the float chamber venting pipe ? |

as above, .......................... but it sound too rich, have you tried to lean the carb off using the mixture screw?

I now have a BDL needle in and it starts immediately and revs up good except that it seems to be missing. It also blows smoke out the tailpipe. Any further suggestions?
