why is an 8mm or 10mm spark plug wocket not 8 or 10mm? the hex on an 8mm is like 15mm

what does the size corrispond to if its not the hex?

ok

i suppose i can use a 13 double depth socket but would rather get the correct plug socket, the 7 port has those fisher price looking 8mm spark plugs with a hex of 13mm obviously a 8mm plug socket wont fit (have one and tried it) what really am i looking for?

good question,

on the larger plugs (normal mini) there can be different hex sizes, I've one seen one size on 10mm plugs (14mm iirc)

Ive never heard of 8mm plugs on any thing apart form the 7 port, Iim guessing you mught have trouble getting a socket, maybe jam a bit of rubber pipe up a deep socket?
