Hello guys, just wondering if you guys know about or have used the new Vandervell Bearings I found them here. Are they new or have they been out a while? i ordered a set of bearings last summer and i was sent a set of King bearings because they said they couldn't get vandervell anymore. The same bearings are being sold by Swiftune in the UK.

It's just not clear if the 998 mains bearings are for the later A+ with the un-grooved, centre tang.

Is it A-Series only? I think it should be...
So when some joey comes on here about how his 16v turbo vauxhall is great compared to ours, he can be given the 'bird'...

Hi Guys,

just to clear up a few bits of information. MAHLE are not part of the Federal Mogul group and never have been. MAHLE is an independant group and the largest manufacturer of engine components in the world, making parts for production cars and F1 as well as mosyt other race series. They also bought Cosworth Technology a few years ago, as well as Vandervell.

The "old" vandervell bearings have been rebranded as MAHLE Original, the bearings in the original post are a new high performance range made in the race bearing plant where MAHLE make all their F1 bearings and are branded MAHLE Motorsport.

On the piston point, the AE pistons are now BRANDED as Nural, they piston in the box is still made in the same factory *smiley*

Easy, Vandervell never made A+ 998 bearings.

You used to be able to get Vandervell VP91885 998 A+ centre tang main bearings in VP2. That's what is fitted to my 998Ti.

Now you can only get the Glacier AEM3427.
