So when some joey comes on here about how his 16v turbo vauxhall is great compared to ours, he can be given the 'bird'...

I'd be interested if they allow for metro 4 pot brakes. Otherwise I'll have some 7" ones *wink*

I want some of the 13"s, badly. I'd have to mortgage my mum for a set but I would actually swap my 13x8 Alleycats for those bad boys *Cloud 9*

Maybe - maybe not.

"new tooling allows us to use a spun rim with no tyre wel"

No tyre well means there's more room inside ('flat bed'); like so: http://i286.photobucket.com/albums/ll89/tr...ecomparison.jpg This might allow for bigger brakes under 12" wheels.

Why would you need bigger brakes than 8.4" disks?

Wasn't sure at first, but the deep dish wheels are certainly growing on me. More money to save...

Greed?

I was asking the question as there is soon to be a 10" version with this type of rim. So 12" centres. It would be great to retain my brake setup it would fit under these.

I'll speak to Carl.

I think so, yes.

Another option would be A048s! 165/55(!) - same circumference than a 10" wheel, if not a tad smaler. Big brakes - smal wheels. Perfect! *happy*

Why bigger brakes? I don't know if you have mountain passes in the UK, we certainly have some big ones. The better brakes, the - erm - better.
