Hey guys

I've posted this under my other topic, (T3 or smaller)

But i have a set of good (used but nearly new) 9.4-1 std 4 ring pistons on innno rods. I think (with my GM 1600 Turbo experiance) i want to aim for 8.8-1 compression, so i will have to open

Should i bother using thes pistons ? aiming to run car up to around 0.7 to 1 bar (10-14 PSI IIRC) if possible,
or
Should i just save up for some forged ones ? (sell a kidney or two)

Personally I wouldn't use the old 4 ring pistons. Good quality cast pistons are up to the job.

Also not sure what import duty is like for SA but Avonbar are doing forged accralites for £300 at the moment.

If something is worth doing, it's worth doing half of.

omega cast pistons should be more then up to the job for a 14psi application.

For the cost its not something I'd take a chance on.
