Does your car have tax now, i.e it expires on sunday?
Fastest 998 mini in the world? 13.05 1/4 mile 106mph

It's on SORN at the moment which expires at the start of November, so if I tax it today will it end next year in November or do I lose a month out?

I don't think you lose a month in this case, I think the reason they allow the two days for a new disc (not a follow-on disc, which is much longer than two days) is just because of weekends (Post Offices shut Sat pm and Sun).

I *think* it will go into November this late in the year but maybe ring DVLA and just double check? If you do it online shouldn't it tell you when it will go to before you pay up? On 2nd Nov, 2010 wil_h said:

can you not forward a tax disc anymore?, ive taxed my mini before in the middle of june to start on the 1st of july and also had to tax a car on the 31st of the month so i could get it home (losing a month)
