Loving the intercooler set up, what is the intercooler from? Did you have to raise the bonnet to make it fit?

I reckon its a 2wd cossie cooler with the end caps nicely modified. Either way I'm impressed :)

I'm guessing the pipework usually connects onto the sides and not the top like this? A neat little mod, gives more room for a larger cooler *wink*

John has it nailed - Phil did the work on the intercooler, and I'm sure he could replicate it for a price! *wink*

The bonnet is raised at the back, but the front edge is standard. I like the raised back look, but I'm pretty sure the bonnet would fit in the normal position too.

Raised back isn't so good for aerodynamics Alex *wink*

Looks really well, what sort of boost are you able to put through with a cooler of that size? Its the exact sort of size/shape I'm looking for *happy*

I know someone putting over 18psi through one. And someone else putting around 20psi through one.

I don't see why it wouldn't allow more as long as its in the airflow with an appropriate turbo.

I've know people put 35psi through a Cosworth intercooler. No problem.

Does it make any difference if its a 4wd cossie cooler? Can get hold of one from a mate *happy*

4wd ones are much deeper. may not go under a round nose.

Getting there with the paint now.

It's all lacquered and polished. I need to do another round of polish, and then bolt it all back together, but I'm pretty happy with the finish so far. Especially for my first attempt at painting, and with minimal prep! *wink*

The colour match is pretty terrible, which is frustrating, but it's still better than having a black a-panel imho.

Here's a few photos. I'll also update later in the week when its back together with the arches and what-not.

Fun fun.
(oh, and sorry tom, I didn't do the tip you told me to do - the colour match was so bad I couldn't be bothered)
