Mitsi Evo 7, 911, Cossie. & all the chavs ...... won no problem

if no one has got a good second hand set

i would opt for new forged accralites from avonbar 73.5mm with 18cc bowl

those are the best pistons in my book

also dont over look the well proven OMEGA pistons from MED racing cast or forged if your flushed!

but for little over £330 i would get the accralites ......as the omegas are £30 less for cast ones

I've had a look on avonbar and it says for the 18cc accralites over £500 with vat?

yeah the 73.5 accralites are now special order so are more than the 1293 ones :(

how much oompf are you looking for? it may be an option to get some cast omegas or similar and have them dished out, I took my powermax's out to 17cc.

Have a look on my introduce yourself topic mate, put some specs and info on there, would like the option of going higher in time however maybe push it to 175? That won't be for a while though.

And where did you get them dished out? Sounds pretty precise stuff?

I dished them myself, its not that hard tbh,

I'd say cast omega's pr powermax's will be fine for 175 hp

I made up a solid gudeon pin with a threaded hole in, and just pulled them up against the chuck with some studding, you jsut have to sped a bit of time getting them concentric on the chuck with a dti,

although its pretty cheap to get them done, 10quid a piston at some places.

As Joe says, the machining is not that difficult.

I did mine (Hypatecs) without too much trouble

If you don't have access to a lathe, a decent machine shop shouldn't charge too much, especially if they have CNC.

Schrödinger's cat - so which one am I ???
