My Van started running lean this morning so I turned down the boost and messed around a bit trying to find the problem I bought a fuel pressure guage fron halfrods but the presure was ok so I stipped the carb and cleaned it out checked the float level etc . When I took it a run it was flying and the mixture as fine but I must have done it some harm when I ran it this morning as it is breathing heavy and the plug on no 3 is oily.
I am just going to stip it now.
A we bit pissed of Allan

This is just my thoughs but the midle two will normaly get the hotest and no 3 is the furthest middle cylinder from the radiator. No 2 piston is cracked as well this time but not so bad.

The latest news is good I got it on the road this morning and I have done 200miles today and every thing seems good it is running much better than ever before I found that the ignition wasnt advancing propery so I have changed the pluming to the inlet manifold.
I have only run my proposed max boost of 9psi once just to try and it seemed good got to run it in a bit for a change.

Do you know where the nearest dyno is to Dumfries? I have the fueling prety good I have a lambda and fuel meter also i am a mechanic and have a fair bit of knowlage but I am a we bit of a chancer which explains most of my problems.I know if I lowerd the compresion a fair bit then the chances of problems would be less but I probably would just turn up the boost more *tongue*
