I've been thinking of my dash recently, mainly what gauges to use, and got through the list to oil pressure and temperature. As they aren't standard, I realised I'd have to install senders for them.

I'm guessing it will be a case of drilling a tapping a hole somewhere to install the senders (be them mechanical or electrical. Pros and cons for both if you could too *happy*).
If this is the case, where's the best place to do it? Oil filter housing? I've heard people say about using a sandwich plate between the block and oil filter housing. Would this be easiest? Would it have to be machined as I'm guessing there isn't a standard item?

Cheers.

PS. I've used the search a lot for things to do with gauges and I'm just posting this to confirm my thoughts and ask a couple of questions

Can't remember the thread of hand but these should cover the sandwich plate

You also have the option of a t piece where the standard oil pressure switch goes in the block. Maybe one like the adaptor for the turbo oil feed.

Cheers guys, I'll look into doing it in the speedo housing but cheers for the link AP. I'll look at mechanical gauges as well!

Gauges can be so damn expensive too!
