You try to do things properly and declare your engine size swap and they make life difficult!

Send em another one with the engine size as 1378.61cc If something is worth doing, it's worth doing half of. |

No doubt I'll have this to come. I'm just going to send a copy of the reciept for the pistons and the over bore and a page of complex maths. Fook em. On 11th Feb, 2015 robert said:

its never really occurred to me to tell them..... is that really bad?? Ive always figured that as long as its properly insured and it wont make any difference to the road tax then why bother telling them..... Same with engine number changes, when i first got the mini on the road i went though engines like they were going out of fashion, if id sent them a letter every time i changed the engine, they would have had the v5 more than me!! And on the 7th day........... God created turbochargers! |

I've just done all this for the 7 port - you'll be ok with a sensible receipt but please send the letters by recorded post - they will lose the letters and original V5's with alarming ease - and its all your fault if they do - you have been warned!

You could just ignore it, wait a week or two and re-submit the change. The chances are that you wont get the same grade A a... hole and it will just fly through. It seems that there are just one or two people doing this who have no idea about older cars and are applying a regulation that does not apply. |

1275 and 1293 fall under the heading 1.3 or 1300. 1380 would fall under the heading 1.4 or 1400. Fuck knows what 1310 or 1340 comes under, but it won't be abything the DVLA will recognise.

This whole thing doesn`t surprise me with the DVLA,they are a bunch of incompetants.I`m diabetic and i have to re-new my drivers licence every three years,i got all the relevent forms for my renewal in May as the licence ran out in June.Anyway i`m still waiting and driving on a covernote, which is fair enough but as i`m a delivery driver it would help to have a licence.Everytime i ring up to check on progress, all i get when i explain i need a licence for my job they just say you`ve got a covernote!Morons! I had this problem too. I managed to get hold of a receipt. But just right something that looks official and you'll be fine. Its all bollox anyway...i had a letter confirming it was a 1293 and they put it down as a 1275. https://www.facebook.com/pages/Fusion-Fabri..._homepage_panel
