Will be ordering a manual boost controller this week, been looking on ebay and there so many different ones at different prices, are some better than others? Will one of the cheaper ones do or is it worth paying more? Anybody got any preferences as to which is best? Thanks, benny!

After trying a couple of the so called "quality" manual boost controllers. I have decided that in my opinion a basic bleed valve is better.

If you can't get the boost up with this config. A wise old sage (robert) told me you can stick a small jet/welding tip in the vacuum line to reduce the signal flowing to the actuator. Works for me anyway.

Another option is to buy one of the fandangled electronic boost controllers.

If something is worth doing, it's worth doing half of.

We had a £20 one on the van. it didn't work well. As a result our piston rings didn't last long...

We now have a 3 leg bleed valve from turbo phil and that seems good

Looked on turbo phills site, he has a bleed valve for £10 and a boost controller at £25, which would you reccomend? I'm only turning the boost up a little at the moment as I have no intercooler, will also be getting one of his boost gauges

He doesn't have the boost control kit anymore as it was a one off. Just go for one of his bleed valves.
