I was chatting to these guys at Goodwood revival in 2009 and just remembered their name. Anyway I just had a nosey at their site and saw the electric water pump

Seems to be priced quite well? Is it the Davies Craig one?

Is it A-Series only? I think it should be...
So when some joey comes on here about how his 16v turbo vauxhall is great compared to ours, he can be given the 'bird'...

Johnny, I don't think those pumps are up to the job of being a stand alone pump. I think they are designed to be a booster pump for post cooling after shut down.
I use one of these, it's compact and has more than double the flow of the Ebay item you've posted.

I've got one similar to that for my mini and the van. I intend to use them as circulation pumps, taking a feed from the thermostat sandwich plate and back in to the bottom hose. It will run a timed relay to keep the coolant circulating after shut down. THe aim is to try and avoid heat soak.

Stewart Components make good pumps.

I bought a DC pump years ago to try on my RV8. Took it off after a few days. What a POS.

I actually gave it away, because I wouldnt have the nerve to ask money for such a piece of crap !!

n.g.l - i never intended to use as a full system pump just as what apbellamy says. But im also getting concerned about my water pump not being able to handle pumping around the block, extra heater matrix and the new t2 turbo (when i fit it). as im buying a water cooled turbo.
