I was chatting to these guys at Goodwood revival in 2009 and just remembered their name. Anyway I just had a nosey at their site and saw the electric water pump

would this be any good for cooling just the turbo?

Johnny, I don't think those pumps are up to the job of being a stand alone pump. I think they are designed to be a booster pump for post cooling after shut down.

I intend to use them as circulation pumps, taking a feed from the thermostat sandwich plate and back in to the bottom hose. It will run a timed relay to keep the coolant circulating after shut down. n.g.l - i never intended to use as a full system pump just as what apbellamy says. But im also getting concerned about my water pump not being able to handle pumping around the block, extra heater matrix and the new t2 turbo (when i fit it). as im buying a water cooled turbo. |
