I bought a shagged but standard metro turbo with over 80k on the clock.

If something is worth doing, it's worth doing half of.

King Gaycharger, butt plug dealer, Sheldon Cooper and a BAC but generally a niceish fella if you dont mind a northerner

Rotherham, South Yorkshire

The van probably as 2-2500 miles on it's current engine, built from mainly used parts. Apart from the oil seals in teh turbo, all is well.

I don't hink that miles will show you an expected life for your turbocharged a-series, It will about never blows if used on the road as you'll can't use it at his full potential,
race it and then it's an other story,
the only ones that I have blown and/or rebuild cause of wear have been hardly used on track days ( full day full bore wot,
trashing it like it were to be punished and you can expect one year of life with 7/8 events.

Your usage , way of driving it will let it live or diy

When I was driving mine from 94-97 or so, probably clocked up around 100k.

The amount of gearboxes and head gaskets I went through was unreal !!

Couple of turbos, diffs, several clutch plates, and a few pistons.

Wasnt too bad overall considering there wasnt a day went by that I didnt rake the complete shit out of it !!!
The joys of being young and stupid !!

9.85 @ 145mph
202mph standing mile
speed didn't kill me, but taxation probably will
