Put it in reverse gear, this gives it the ideal angle.

Use something square on the end if you don't have the proper roll pin tool.

I use a t piece type allen key.

use a roll pin punch, put it in reverse, give it a fucking big smack. then when you come to put it back in use a small cap head head bolt with a nylock nut instead

Why does everyone find this so hard!!!

Into reverse gear, give it a good pisser with either a roll pin punch or a ground up old screwdriver/nail/bolt and out it pops..............

Get the car properly jacked up and on stands so you can get underneath ok and you are away!

I got a proper punch, but it's hard getting it square, the axle stand is always in the way and the hammer hits the subframe when you go backwards then the punch slips off again.....

Nut and Bolt it is then

an alternative to the proper punch, that i use, and prefger... get a set of "jewlers screwdrivers" one of them will fit snugly INSIDE the roll pin, and have an edge that butts up against the rol lpin, cause of the legnth thats inside the roll pin it holds its position and doesnt fall out, so you can get all your fingers out the way for a good "hands free" battering with a 4lb lump hammer :)

iv also used a clevis/split pin setup before wiht some sucess :)

turbo 16v k-series 11.9@118.9 :)
