Low or high neck filler?

how do i tell well guessin one got a bigger fuel filler than other any messure ments pics of diffrent types cuz i aint got a clue haha and northwales i am |

The low neck has a door in the side of the car next to the rear arch.

aaa myn hasnt got a little door its the hole cap that cums out and the neck is scaby but dont thing its leakin one bottem coner rotten got few pin holes |

You will struggle to find a replacement turbo tank for the high neck filler cars. On 11th Feb, 2015 robert said:

Why not replace it with a tank from a mk3 injection model? Integrated fuel pump etc? If something is worth doing, it's worth doing half of. |

wat years mk3? iv got rover 100 Nreg injection and filler cap looks to be in the same place havnt been underneath yet to have alook tho |

One bit of advice, if you do fit the injection tank with the integral pump, cut a circular hole in the boot floor while the tank is out above the pump and make a cover plate for it. There is a nice circular indentation in the floor showing you where to cut, if the indentation isn't in the earlier shell, copy its position from the later shell. Without this hole, when the pump fails (and it will....) you have to remove the whole tank, which means dropping the subframe, to get at it. You can't cut the hole properly with the tank installed as it is so close to the boot floor you end up cutting a hole in the tank as well.... Schrödinger's cat - so which one am I ??? |

i got the fuel tanks out of the MT with out dropin the subframe y would i have to do this with injection tank? |

hey apbellamy, i'm having a lil trouble with the tank in my metty. The inside is covered in rust and keeps blocking the fuel filter. Is the tank that you have free from rust and if so how much are you after for it? I'm going to have to take mine out to clean it anyway, it would make the job alot quicker if i could just swap them over.

Apparently they can be a bit funny about used fuel tanks. But if you are willing to tape over the holes to stop the smell from getting out, and wrap a bit of cardboard around it then i'll sort out the courier :) How would you want paying?
