im thinking of increasing the cc of my metro turbo pistons to 16cc if i did what sort of psi would they take? i am running an intercooler the size of my clubman grill.

also im running a Kent 276 cam atm (obv too lumpy) and ive got a spare mini sport fast road ca2 knocking around, i was thinking of droppin this in with some 1.5 rollers?

advice would be great

cheers eden

hi there, i doubt you could get 16cc in there, on the standard metro pistons,

if you were to place 28cc in the combustion chamber that would be easy a service which i provide. this would give you a compression of 8.5:1 that togeather with a good intercooler and is good for power figures of around 160 bhp ish at around 16 psi of boost, if the rest of the engine ie gearbox clutch etc ...... will stand it.

i would ditch the 1.5 rockers on forced induction engines and my cam choice is phase 2 from avonbar or kent 266 or swifttunes SW5 the choice is yours

hope this helps

Van has the above config BENROSS mentions and we've regularly been pumping 12-15psi through it and plan on putting more in there!

wuithout knowing your compression ratio its impossible to say what they will take, and naturally it all depends how well its all set up.

lower compression ratio - more psi.
Higher compression ratio - less psi.

but not necesarily, and you must remember more psi does not = more power. its all about efficeintly producing the power.

The standard nominal chamber volume is 21.4cc, so unless your head's been skimmed within an inch of its life, in which case it's no use for forced induction, then it'll have more than 15cc in the chambers.

It could be anything mate, best to measure it & work out your compression properly. No good just guessing .... :)

Ahh the old dislexic line. Writing gd instead of good is not dislexia, it's lazy.

You can use them but some cam's are recommended to be used with 1.3 ratio rockers. The Phase 2 is one such cam I believe.

I reckon something like a Kent 266 or SW5 and 1.5's would be a good combo however.

The minisport CA2 is apparently similar to an MG metro cam.
