Hey everyone,

do you know how I fix things to a roof rack on a mini??
im going on a road trip this week, wanting to take some suit cases on the roof but ive no idea what to use to strap things on,
i was hoping on borrowing a friends roof box but it wont fit on my type of roof rack ive bought :(



any suggestions please let me know, ideally a waterproof solution :)

I've got small ratchet straps for putting stuff on the roof of the daily - wouldn't use anything else

great thanks!

ok ill go get some small rachet straps from b&q, and a tarp is a great idea for keeping stuff dry, i dont think i would trust bungee cords? i think im just worrying too much about things blowing off!!

don't get them from B&Q they are a rip of! get to a local diy place or the quid shop

You'll be surprised how strong bunch cords are. They hold my materials on my vans roof rack going down the motorway. So don't rule them out.

just watch with that rack as i manged to bend mine (which looked very similar to yours) when i tightened the straps up

it does feel really flimsy, it was only £15 new on ebay! *surprised*
