Hi

Im currently mid way through my 1293 turbo project, Ive just finished building my engine and gearbox with clubman SCCR gearset, however today I bought a nearly new Swiftune gearbox mainly for the ATB LSD. However the box contains a Dog Gear kit (2.3-1st). the gearset is like new and only had 40mins of race use.

Are dog boxes any good? The car will mainly be used are weekend warrior, drag strip and a few trackdays. Are the ratios to close for turbo use? Any bodyelse running them?

bit agricultural for road use tbh, you will prob get very bored of it very quickly

Would be a pain on the road. Just trying to get it into first every time you stop would be a ballache.

Is it A-Series only? I think it should be...
So when some joey comes on here about how his 16v turbo vauxhall is great compared to ours, he can be given the 'bird'...

The Swifty box is fabulous on the road, you dont need the clutch to go up or down the box so makes driving easier and more relaxed........BUT thats my opinion and Im nuts, I drive mine on the road with a Salisbury diff set at 120lb.
Most people wont like it for regular road use but for a weekend blast its easy enough to get on with.

Paul

I seriously doubt it!
