hey guys my mate has a 1275 motor and has herd its worth not much and that its worth heaps he dose not want the motor but dose not want to give it away ether i will be buying it regardless anyway

the numbers are
head 12G940 witch i heard is a good head?
block AEG 312/3.14K7 i think the AEG is just a made in aus thing? also the /3.1 bit could be /1.1
engine 9FSAY8251
crank 2G1392

any info whould help and a ruff price also
i will be building a turbo motor out of it if anyone is interested i may not use the head, rods and crank dono yet

What bore is it on? Need a bit more info about it.
But looking at a minimum of $500.

std 1275 bore apparently ill have to get him to measure it and check the bore out and stuff

Is there an engine number on a plate on top of the block by no 1 piston?

9F-SA-Y***** is a Cooper S engine but the number is from 31001 onwards so yours seems far too low. I can't find any other A Series engines starting like that, is it from a Mini?

hey guys finally had a chance to get on the computer as i have been working flat out all week

Flame Red my mate says the guy he got it from said its a police motor i don't know if that means anything but yes it is a mini motor

dose anyone have a ruff idea on price ?
